About this site

Plain AI exists for one reason: there's too much noise out there about artificial intelligence, and most of it isn't for you.

Search "how to use AI" and you'll find get-rich schemes, developer tutorials, and breathless claims about changing your life overnight. None of that is useful if you're a regular adult who just wants to know how to write a hard email, plan a week of dinners, or understand a confusing bill — with a little help from AI, without wasting an afternoon figuring out the "right" way to do it.

That's what this site is for.

What you'll find here

Every lesson and article here starts with a real task, not a tool. You won't find "10 ChatGPT prompts that will blow your mind." You'll find things like "I need to write a hard email to my boss" — plain instructions, real examples, and an honest look at what AI is actually good at (and where it falls short).

Who this is for

If you're comfortable with a smartphone and email, curious or a little skeptical about AI, and tired of content written for developers — this is built for you.

Who's behind it

Plain AI is written by Cody Simpson, a systems administrator who got tired of watching good, capable people feel talked down to or talked over by AI content that wasn't written with them in mind.

No hype. No jargon. Just practical help.
